    The inspection card shall be posted in a conspicuous place in such a position as to allow the inspector to conveniently make entries thereon.

    The owner, contractor, or his agent shall make requests to the Community Development Department a minimum of twenty-four (24) hours before inspections are desired.

    1. Footings: After forms are erected or trenches are excavated and before the placing of concrete. Soil tests shall be made and the results filed with the Community Development Department of the ultimate bearing strata for foundation footings.

    2. Before Placing Lumber: Submit a spot survey for approval showing (1) elevation of Top of Foundation, (2) location of foundation with ties to front and side lot lines, (3) accurate dimensions of foundations.

    3. Foundations: After dampproofing and drain tile is in place and before backfilling.

    4. Sheathing: Before any exterior covering is installed.

    5. Plumbing - Rough: During test application and before covering or concealing.

    6. Electrical Service and Roughed-In Electrical: Before covering or concealment and before insulation is installed, and prior to any wires being pulled.

    7. Framing: After plumbing, mechanical and electrical are roughed in and before covering, concealment or any insulation is installed.

    8. Driveway, Patios, Service Walks and Concrete Work: After forms are erected and before placing of any materials.

    9. Water and Sewer Service Lines: When in place and before backfilling.

    10. Final Inspection: Must be requested four (4) working days before occupancy is desired.

    To obtain a Certificate of Occupancy:

    • Water meter must be installed and approved.
    • Submit Village Engineer's approval letter of Record Drawing and Alta Survey.
