E-Bikes and Scooters Ordinances. Ride Smart, Ride Safe: Rules for Low-Speed Electric & Gas Bicycles in Glendale Heights.
On September 18, 2025, the Glendale Heights Village Board unanimously approved two new ordinances: one regulating E-Bikes and Low-Speed Gas Bikes, and another addressing Electric Scooters and Personal Mobility Devices. These measures were adopted to enhance safety for riders, drivers, and pedestrians, and to help prevent potential accidents in our community. We encourage all residents to review the full ordinances (E-Bikes and Low Speed Gas Bikes Ordinance, Electric Scooters and Personal Mobility Devices Ordinance) or the condensed versions (E-Bikes and Electric Scooters: English or Spanish).
