The Streets Division is committed to keeping the Village of Glendale Heights safe, clean, and moving forward. We maintain the streets you drive, bike, and walk on every day.
From routine maintenance to major infrastructure upgrades, our team works year-round to ensure that residents, businesses, and visitors can travel safely and efficiently throughout the Village. If we all do our part by recycling yard waste and properly disposing of garbage, we can help protect the environment and wildlife, keep the Village's waterways cleaner, and reduce the risk of flooding in our community.
Remember: the storm water system flows directly into creeks and rivers. Pollutants such as motor oil and antifreeze should never be dumped into catch basins or onto the ground. They should always be recycled.

Wooden post streetlights are owned and operated by ComEd. If you encounter an outage and/or an issue and if the post is wooden, you can report the issue directly to ComEd at 1.800.EDISON1 or via their website.

Street Sweeping
Parking on streets is prohibited during the months of April, May, October, and November between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. on one designated day each week.

Color coded "No Parking" signs are also posted throughout the Village.Red Zone - No Parking on Mondays

Winter Weather
The Public Works Department would like to remind Residents of the parking regulations within the Village during snowfall.
1" of snowfall - No parking on the street if your street is designated as a snow route for 24 hours after snowfall
2" or more - No parking on any Village street for 24 hours after snowfall
5" or more - No parking on any Village street for 72 hours after snowfall
Additionally, please remember not to shovel or snow blow snow onto Village streets.
The Police Department will enforce these ordinances.

Give workers extra space, keep a safe distance, and slow down as you approach. Always be prepared to stop when
