A speed trailer capable of displaying the speed of passing vehicles is utilized by the Police Department as a tool to make motorists aware of their driving speeds. The hope is that those motorists finding themselves driving over the posted speed limit will lower their speed to a safer level. Residents may request the trailer to be set up on a Village street. This trailer will not be used in the issuance of citations, and is an educational device only.

Residents wishing to have the speed trailer set up in their neighborhood are encouraged to contact Sergeant Chris Parsons of the Police Department.
